Television

The Goonies aired two more times on NBC (on February 18 and September 2).

Super Mario Bros. 3, the biggest Mario game for the NES, was released in North America more than a year after its original release in Japan.

Littlemermaid 1990

The Little Mermaid became Disney's first animated feature to get a VHS release less than a year after its original theatrical premiere.

Dos4x Win30 titlescreen

Windows 3.0 became the first widely successful version of Windows when it was released this year. MS-DOS 4.0 still remained unchanged.

MCA Home Video was renamed to MCA/Universal Home Video. Universal Pictures' logo was also redesigned in the process.
