Super Mario Bros. 3 was released for use on the NES in North America.

February 20 The Wizard of Oz reran on CBS, followed by the premiere of a special documentary titled "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: The Making of a Movie Classic".

The Kidsongs TV Show began reruns on The Disney Channel. The nine music video shows to date were all re-printed on VHS shortly afterwards.

March 21 The Black Cauldron (1990) Oliver & Company (1990)

The Black Cauldron was re-titled "Taran and the Magic Cauldron" when it was re-issued in limited theaters. Along with it were Twin Books' storybook adaptation of this film and Oliver & Company.

April 16–20 Five new episodes of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, titled "Mister Rogers Talks About the Environment", premiered on PBS. These were episodes #1616–1620.

Following this were the last reruns of episodes #1141–1210.

May 10 The third season of Full House began reruns on ABC after it ended with 26 episodes.
