Blaze, the newest main female character in the Sonic the Hedgehog series up to date, has mostly appeared in third generation Sonic video games since her first appearance, Sonic Rush. Although some fans claim her to be a "love interest" for Sonic himself, this isn't necessarily true because she only finds him as her most trusted ally and friend, as explained in Sonic Rush Adventure.
As guardian of the Sol Emeralds, she's currently hot on the trail of Dr. Eggman who's made off with them. Blaze is normally calm and level-headed, but may be concealing her real feelings. Devoted to her position, she sometimes gets bogged down by her own strict discipline, which may explain why she seems a little withdrawn.
