February 7	Sonic X: Into the Darkness, My Little Pony: The Princess Promenade, A Charming Birthday, and the remaining episodes from Season 7 and 8 of Thomas & Friends were all released on DVD.
February 21	Sonic Riders was one of the last video games for the Nintendo GameCube.
February 27	Super Princess Peach was released for Nintendo DS in North America.
February 28	Lady and the Tramp was re-released on DVD as a Platinum Edition.
March 7	My Neighbor Totoro and Howl's Moving Castle were released on Region 1 DVD in North America. My Neighbor Totoro was now presented in anamorphic widescreen.
	Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was released on DVD.
March 14	Ice Age was re-released on DVD as a "Super-Cool Edition".
March 28	24 episodes of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show were released on DVD.
March 31	Ice Age: The Meltdown was released in theaters.
April 4	The third season of Full House was released on DVD.
April 11	The remaining 13 episodes of My Little Pony (G1) were released on DVD in two volumes: "The Quest of the Princess Ponies" and "Flight to Cloud Castle".
May 6	The second season of Sonic X finished with 26 episodes, for a total of 78 for the entire series. Reruns ended the following month.
May 15	The first New Super Mario Bros. was released for Nintendo DS.
May 16	Sonic X: The Beginning of the End was released on DVD.
June 6	Dumbo was re-released on DVD as a Big Top Edition. After this date, HiT Entertainment did not make any more plans to release any pre-1997 Barney & Friends media on DVD for the first time.
June 9	Cars was released in theaters.
July 8	Reruns of Kirby: Right Back at Ya! on FOX resumed.
August 15	The fourth season of Full House was released on DVD.
September 10	Season 10 of Thomas & Friends premiered on PBS Kids, accompanied by three more episodes from Season 7.
September 11	The 23rd season of Jeopardy! and the 24th season of Wheel of Fortune began on local syndication.
September 12	My Little Pony: The Runaway Rainbow and Friends are Never Far Away were released on DVD. At this point, all Generation 3 My Little Pony media was now available on DVD.
	Apple released iTunes 7.
September 16	The remaining seven unaired episodes of Kirby: Right Back at Ya! began airing on FOX, with new episodes ending on December 9.
September 29	Open Season was released in theaters as Sony Pictures Animation's first film.
October 3	The Little Mermaid was re-released on DVD as a Platinum Edition.
October 10	The Fox and the Hound was re-released on DVD as a 25th Anniversary Edition.
October 18	Microsoft released Internet Explorer 7 exclusively for Windows XP Service Pack 2 users.
October 20	The Nightmare Before Christmas was released in select theaters, in Disney Digital 3-D.
October 31	The first half of Sonic X's third season and most of the remaining episodes of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show were released on DVD.
November 2	Kirby Squeak Squad was released in Japan for Nintendo DS.
November 7	Cars was released on DVD. Attached to it was a teaser trailer for Ratatouille.
November 8	Windows Vista was released to manufacturing.
November 13	Yoshi's Island DS was released for Nintendo DS.
November 14	My Little Pony: The Movie was released on Region 1 DVD in North America.
November 19	Donkey Kong, Mario Bros., Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis version) and Super Mario 64 were released on the Wii Shop Channel, a digital distribution service exclusively from the Wii.
November 21	Ice Age: The Meltdown was also released on DVD, and was the first ever film to also get a Blu-ray Disc.
	How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and Horton Hears a Who! were re-released on DVD as a "50th Birthday Deluxe Edition", along with the first 26 episodes of Pokémon: Indigo League, which itself had also returned to Cartoon Network for one last run.
November 28	Robin Hood was re-released on DVD as a Most Wanted Edition.
