The Kirby TV Channel was released on June 23, 2011 in Europe and Australia, about half a month after the E3 trailers for Kirby Mass Attack and Kirby's Return to Dream Land were released. Every Monday and Thursday from that time, new episodes were released. Each episode remained available for two weeks. Thus, the last episode would expire by December 15, 2011, marking the end of this channel. During this run, 51 episodes were available. A second run, which ran from April 2, 2012 to September 13, 2012, had 48 episodes available.

The original Japanese version of these episodes were launched on the Wii no Ma beginning in June 2009. Each episode was worth 100 Wii Points, adding up to a total of 10,000 Wii Points for the entire series. Later on the 10th anniversary of the anime in October 2011, the episodes were re-released, most of them into groups of five. Unfortunately, the Wii no Ma channel shut down on April 30, 2012.

Because both channels are now defunct, the Kirby anime currently has an unlikely chance of ever being released again, at least until Kirby's upcoming 30th anniversary. Other than that, three Kirby episodes are still available for viewing through the Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition video game for the Wii, but the game nowadays is getting harder to find because it was discontinued about a year after its original release.

The Kirby TV Channel also proves that Nintendo now owns full distribution rights to Kirby: Right Back at Ya! to today.
