SynopsisEdit

More of a follow-up to 'Song of the South', Disney's adaptation of the novel by Sterling North uses many of the same cast and a similar mix of live action and animation. Set in 1903 the film follows the story of Jeremiah and his dream to win first prize in a local pet contest with his pet sheep Danny. But things conspire against him, notably his grandmother who believes he is entering the contest for the wrong reasons. However, after Danny is lost and then found, Jeremiah's grandmother relents; but despite not winning the contest Jeremiah and his family realise an important lesson in life.
