OverviewEdit

Probably the darkest of all Sonic cartoons, it takes place in the 33rd century of Planet Mobius, and the world is populated with anthropomorphic animals. Dr. Robotnik, the main villain, has invaded the city of Mobotropolis with his nephew Snively and his army of SWATbots. It's up to the Freedom Fighters, consisting of 16-year-old Sonic the Hedgehog, Princess Sally Acorn, Bunnie Rabbot, Antoine D'Coolette, Rotor Walrus, and Sonic's little 10-year-old friend, Tails.

Amazon Instant Video/iTunesEdit

The complete series was released on iTunes in 2014. Each episode is worth $1.99, while the entire seasons are worth $14.99 each ($19.99 for Season 2 on Amazon Video). There are 13 episodes per season, and they are all presented in standard-definition video.

NotesEdit

  • Jaleel White also voiced Sonic from the first cartoon, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.
  • Sally Acorn, believe it or not, was Sonic's love interest during this series. Unfortunately, she never appeared even ONCE as a playable video game character. In fact, she was no longer seen by many Sonic fans outside of the not-so-popular Archie comic book series due to the fact that the Saturday Morning Sonic cartoon was dropped in 1998. Since then, many Sonic fans eventually forgot about Sally as Sonic's original love interest.
