Windows 2.0 is another 16-bit environment, released in December 1987. There are some new components available here, such as Microsoft Word and Excel. This software was also packaged with AT&T computers, and comprised of 5.25" or 3.5" floppy disks.

Windows 2.03

This was the first version, and the background is now turquoise compared to the first Windows environment.

The old applications from the first version of Windows were retained, such as Calculator, Calendar, the MS-DOS Executive, Notepad, Paint, Write, and the game Reversi. It is highly recommended that you use DOSBox with the version number set to 3 or 4.

Windows 2.1

Windows 2.1 is an updated version of Windows 2.0. It is compatible with Intel 80286 and Intel 80386 processors.

Windows 2.11

Windows 2.11 is just a minor upgrade to Windows 2.1. This operating system is also compatible with Intel 80286 and 80386 processors.
